POP SENSATIONS HOT CHELLE RAE TO ROCK BALLOON FESTIVAL JULY 26
READINGTON, NJ --- Continuing to offer something for everyone in its wide ranging audience, the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning has announced that Nashville pop sensations Hot Chelle Rae have been added to the concert lineup at the 32nd annual festival at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ.
Reserved concert seats and VIP meet-and-greet tickets go on sale Friday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. Lawn seating, which includes general admission into the Festival, are on sale now at www.balloonfestival.com.
Hot Chelle Rae gained widespread attention with their 2011 double platinum single “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It Like That” en route to being named Best New Artists at the 2011 American Music Awards. “Tonight Tonight” sold more then two million copies and reached the Top 10 charts in the U.S., Australia, Canada and Japan.
They capped off that successful year by performing on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest and opened 2012 by performing at the NFL’s Pro Bowl in Hawaii. They later toured with Taylor Swift on her “Speak Now World Tour” in Australia and New Zealand and toured with Demi Lovato.
Hot Chelle Rae has recently released the singles “Recklessly” and “Don’t Say Goodnight” from their upcoming third studio album. ‘Don’t Say Goodnight” was inspired from their nights and experiences on tour with Swift in Australia.
Musical success is part of the family business for lead vocalist Ryan Follese, lead guitarist Nash Overstreet and drummer Jamie Follese, Ryan’s brother. Overstreet’s father, Paul, has written hits for Randy Travis, The Judds, Kenny Chesney and Blake Shelton; brother Chord is a star on the hit TV show Glee. Ryan and Jamie’s father, Keith, has penned many hits including Faith Hill’s “The Way You Love Me” and Lady Antebellum’s “Lookin’ for a Good Time.”
“Hot Chelle Rae, hot air balloons and a great amusement area are three of the many things that we have to offer our younger audience,” said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman. “We’re proud to continue to offer performers that meet the interests of our attendees along with providing many great attractions and activities throughout the weekend.”
Hot Chelle Rae joins the list of top young performers to play the Festival, which started in 2007 with the Jonas Brothers and includes then rising stars Demi Lovato and current Disney teen sensations R5.
The QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in association with PNC Bank is the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America. The three-day Festival, July 25-26-27, 2014 at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ, features twice a day mass ascensions of more than 100 balloons from around the world and a hugely popular concert series.
The concert lineup features America on Friday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m.; Hot Chelle Rae on Saturday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m.; 3 Doors Down on Saturday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m.; and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts on Sunday, July 27 at 3:00 p.m. |
