An innovative leader in the field of sports marketing, John Korff is president of Korff Enterprises, a sports and events marketing company based in New York City. A long time promoter of women’s tennis, Korff founded and then organized the highly innovative A&P Tennis Classic in Mahwah, New Jersey, for 25 years. He built the little known U.S. Open warm-up event into an exciting tournament of championship tennis that would annually draw 70,000 spectators, international coverage and world-class competitors. It was the only women’s pro tournament to host three nights of concerts and five nights of tennis.
A graduate of Harvard Business School, Korff was a consultant to NYC2012, the committee leading New York’s bid for the 2012 Olympic Games. In 2004, he organized the U.S. Olympic Trials for Triathlon in Honolulu, Hawaii.
A strong believer in the importance of education, Korff has taught marketing at Ramapo College, entrepreneurial studies at Columbia University, and is a guest lecturer at NYU graduate business school. His company, Korff Enterprises, has been the subject of several Harvard Buisness School case studies.
In addition to serving as producer of the New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning and President of Korff Enterprises, Korff coaches a marathon team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program where he met his wife, the former Leslie Eisenberg. He has run in over 140 marathons, seven 100 mile ultra-marathons, and holds a record in the Empire State Building Run-Up.
