Plan on arriving early. Backpacks, bags, and personal items are subject to inspection by Security before you enter the Festival grounds and entrance into the Festival may be slowed by the screening process and bag searches. As with any major event, safety and security are a primary concern, and the Festival continues to work closely with security and law enforcement at all levels.
Pack only the basic essentials, and leave valuable items at home. Coolers, bottles, and food are not permitted on the Festival grounds. The Festival offers an assortment of unique foods for purchase at our concessionaire stands.
Dress for the weather. Wear comfortable, light-colored clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring sunscreen and wear UV protective sunglasses. Baseball caps and wide-brimmed hats are recommended to protect your eyes and head from the summer sun. The morning mass ascensions are beautiful and the weather is also cooler earlier in the day.
Prepare for peak times. If you’re planning on arriving for Saturday night’s mass balloon ascension (6:30 pm), headline musical concert *8:00 pm) and nighttime hot air balloon glow (8:30 pm) and the Dazzling Drone Light Show (approx: 9:15 pm) make sure to come earlier in the day as crowds entering the Festival are at their peak late Saturday afternoon.
Stay up-to-date. Use the Festival’s social media (Facebook, Instagram & Twitter), the festival's website or call 800-HOT-AIR-9 for the latest news and information.
Follow signage. Please follow Festival signage and directional signage to expedite arriving at the correct parking lot.
