Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan Perform Saturday, July 30

 

READINGTON, NJ — Festival-goers can catch the dream this summer as Disney TV stars Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan perform in concert as “The Girl and The Dreamcatcher” at the QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Association with PNC Bank on July 30 at Solberg Airport in Readington, NJ.

 

Dove Cameron is best known for her roles as identical twins, Liv and Maddie, in the Disney Channel Original Series “Liv and Maddie.” Ryan McCartan appears as recurring character Diggie on the show which airs on Sunday nights.

 

This exciting pop duo also made headlines this past weekend as they appeared at the Radio Disney Music Awards as an engaged couple.

 

They follow in the footsteps of Disney teen sensations such as the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and Sabrina Carpenter who have played at the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America. 

 

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. at www.balloonfestival.com. VIP tickets are available in Gold, Platinum and Premium and Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan will have a meet-and-greet with Child Premium ticketholders.  

 

“We’re thrilled to continue to present Disney’s biggest and brightest stars as part of our concert series,” said Festival Executive Producer Howard Freeman. “With The Girl and The Dreamcatcher, our twice a day mass ascensions of 100 balloons, a great amusement area and exciting interactive attractions, our teens and tweens have a lot to look forward to at this year’s festival.”

 

Dove Cameron began acting in community theatre in Seattle, WA at age eight and moved to Los Angeles at age 14 to pursue acting and singing professionally.

 

She has starred as identical twins Liv and Maddie since the show began airing in July 2013. Dove also starred in the Disney Channel Original Musical Movie Descendants in which she played Mal, the daughter of Maleficent; and appeared in the feature film Barely Lethal alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson.

 

Dove’s singing talents can be found on various Disney releases: Compilations from Liv and Maddie as well as Disney’s Christmas CD.

 

Ryan McCartan has been enjoying great success in television, motion pictures and musical theater. In addition to “Liv and Maddie,” the Minnesota native has starred in R.L. Stine’s Monsterville: The Cabinet of Souls; Roman White’s debut feature, Summer Forever, in which he sang three original songs from the album which charted on iTunes’ Movie Musical list; and the critically acclaimed cult phenomenon Heathers The Musical at New World Stages in New York City. 

 

He will appear in the star-studded The Rocky Horror Picture Show remake airing later this year.
