The Empire Strikes Back! Win A Ride In The Darth Vader Balloon!

Last year the Festival’s skies were darkened by the presence of Darth Vader, one of the most recognized villains in movie history and one of the most spectacular hot air balloons in the world. We knew that the 86-foot tall, 69-foot wide, 78-foot wide, 3 dimensional, jet black balloon would make an impression on Festival goers as he took to the skies accompanied by the infamous Imperial March music from Star Wars. In a word: awesome!!!

 

And we’ve just learned of the Empire’s plan to strike back this summer!

 

Part of Lord Vader’s evil plan is ………….. the Darth Vader Video Contest! The Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is giving you the opportunity to create a 2 minute video telling us why you want to ride in the Darth Vader hot air balloon. The Grand Prize winner will receive a free ride in the balloon during one of the Festival’s five scheduled mass hot air balloon ascensions and also have their video featured on the Festival’s YouTube.com account and on our web site, www.balloonfestival.com.

While Darth Vader makes his return voyage to Readington all the way from a galaxy far, far away via its Earthly home Brussels, Belgium, our tradition of reaching to the ends of the Earth (and in this case beyond!) to bring you the most spectacular special-shaped hot air balloons each and every year continues with new balloons soon to be announced.
